More general information relating to the remedy can be accessed here: https://pensions.gov.scot/2015-remedy.

Please note that the legislation and changes to Police pension regulations for pension remedy are yet to be made and implementation of the remedy is expected to be in place by October 2023.

As such the SPPA cannot provide any figures or projections relating to the remedy at this time.

Separately, officers will shortly receive an email inviting them to register for the SPPAs online portal. This will give secure access to a portal that will allow them to view their Annual Benefit Statements and other data relating to their pension. it is important when registering for an account that officers follow the instructions precisely (using PSI instead of their name in their pnn email address.)

SPF officials remain heavily involved in discussions with Treasury, Home Office and Scottish Government (SPPA) on a myriad of complications and will update further on this site when they can.
