Despite the reduction in restriction level across the country police officers must all, particularly in the workplace, be aware that there remains a significant health risk to officers exposed to Covid-19. While guidance has recently changed to the default position of wearing a Type IIR face mask when out with police stations and dealing generally with the public- the FFP3 mask, goggles and gloves must be used when dealing with a known or suspected Covid-19 case. It is imperative to follow that guidance for your own health and that of your colleagues and your families.
Wearing an FFP3 mask and goggles are the only way to protect yourself from the virus with a degree of confidence.
