This is for the attention of officers who have recently received an Annual Allowance Pensions Saving Statement for the 2019/2020 year:
The Police Pension Schemes administrator, the Scottish Public Pensions Agency “SPPA”, have advised that there was an error in some of the Annual Allowance statements recently issued.
This affects those who have two tables shown on their statement with benefits in both the 1987/2006 scheme as well as the 2015 scheme. The tables contained duplicate data in error.
SPPA apologise for this error and have issued revised statements to those affected by post to your home address on 15th October.
SPPA have advised this does not impact those with only one table showing on their statement.
If you have any queries relating to your annual allowance statement, please email the pension scheme administrator, SPPA, at sppatax@gov.scot including your National Insurance number in the subject heading.
If you are concerned that you have not received a response in time to meet the deadline for your self-assessment return, or if you believe an error has occurred that may have wider implications for other officers, then please inform the Police Scotland Pensions team by email at FinancePensions@scotland.pnn.police.uk, giving your authority for escalation to SPPA.
