Travel Insurance Update – Following Air Traffic Disruption

Passengers affected by the UK air traffic control failure should liaise with their airline  who have a responsibility either to get people back on a flight or to pay for them to be accommodated and for their food and drink.

If passengers are not being assisted they can pay for ‘reasonable’ costs themselves and claim back from the airline on their return.

The travel insurance will consider claims for delay or abandonment under the terms of the policy.
