Furious cops are backing a petition calling for the official who represents rank and file bobbies to be sacked. Almost 2,000 people have signed the online plea for Scottish Police Federation chief Calum Steele to be stripped of his post. Officers are said to be unhappy over the way he “rolled over” and accepted changes to their pension.
Blurb about the petition, launched by independent group Pension Challenge, states: “Calum Steele leads the federation and failed to put up any fight for his members with regards to the changes in police pension.
