PPE Survey 2021

It has been 4 years since the last Officer Safety PPE survey and the Scottish Police Federation are keen to review and  refresh our policy positions, including but not exclusively through a survey.

Police Scotland has adopted many of the recommendations that were in the  2017 survey report, and so we have adapted questions on Boots, TASER and Officer Safety Training to reflect the current position.

Most of the questions will however be able to be compared against the 2017 survey.

We are keen to capture your experiences of using your PPE and in particular whether it is fit for purpose in todays policing environment. We will also ask you for your views on other options such as Taser and handguns.

If there are any comments you wish to add, then please do so at the end of the survey.

All data will be held in the strictest of confidence and care will be taken not to allow individuals to be identified from their responses. To start the survey, please visit www.spf.org.uk/ppe21
